Positioned within one of Hamilton’s busiest commercial precincts, 153 Victoria Street required a façade and soffit solution that could deliver long-term durability while enhancing the building’s contemporary architectural expression. The project features AliClad MAX Aluminium Weatherboards and Soffit Systems, finished in a realistic timber-look grain that brings warmth and texture to the urban environment without the maintenance demands of natural timber.
The Challenge:
Located in a high-profile, high-traffic area, the development required a cladding system capable of maintaining its appearance over time while withstanding the demands of a commercial environment. The design team sought a solution that combined clean architectural lines, durability, and a premium finish suitable for a landmark city-centre project.
The Solution:
AliClad MAX was selected for both the external cladding and soffit applications, including a custom two-piece soffit system utilising the V085 profile and picture-framed detailing. The aluminium construction provides outstanding dimensional stability, ensuring the system will not warp, split, or rot over time. Its concealed fixing methodology creates a seamless, uninterrupted appearance, while the lightweight nature of the system enabled efficient installation. The result is a sophisticated façade and soffit package that delivers the warmth of timber, the performance of aluminium, and the low-maintenance benefits required for long-term commercial ownership.
