Rigid Air Barrier & Secondary Weather Protection
The ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing System combines the sheathing board with the ENCLOSURE™ Façade Membrane and associated flashing tapes to form a vapour-permeable air seal line within the wall assembly. Together, these components provide airtightness, secondary weather resistance, and moisture management behind the external cladding system, supporting the long-term performance of the building envelope.

Structural Bracing Capability
ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing System can be used as part of a wall bracing system for timber-framed buildings within the scope of NZS 3604. Wind and earthquake bracing units are achieved through the integrated performance of the ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing Board, proprietary seismic brackets, and prescribed fixing pattern, providing structural resistance as part of the complete wall assembly.

Supports Fire-Rated Wall Construction
ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing System can be used in both loadbearing and nonloadbearing fire rated wall construction, including fire rated systems for timber-framed buildings.

Application
Scope of Use
ENCLOSURE™ Sheathing System is suitable for external wall pre-cladding applications where:
- Timber framing is designed within the scope of NZBC E2/AS1
- Light gauge steel framing complies with NASH Standards
- Buildings are located in wind zones up to and including Extra High
- Cladding systems are installed over a minimum 18 mm drained cavity
- Walls are located at least 1 metre from the relevant boundary
The system may also be used as part of fire-rated wall construction and timber-framed bracing systems within the scope of its testing and supporting documentation.

ENCLOSURE™ contributes to compliance with the following NZBC clauses when used as part of a compliant wall assembly:
Durability – B2
Currently undergoing testing to demonstrate compliance with B2 durability requirements B2.3.1 (a) & B2.3.1 (b).
Protection from Fire – C3
Contributes to compliance when incorporated into tested fire-rated wall assemblies C3.6 & C3.7.
External Moisture – E2
Contributes to compliance E2.3.2 when used within drained and ventilated cavity wall systems.
Hazardous Building Materials – F2
Complies with the requirements of NZBC Clause F2.3.1.

Warranty & Maintenance
Sheathing Board, the manufacturer provides a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects for a duration of 5 years from date of purchase. Adhesive Membrane, the manufacturer provides a warranty covering deviations from product specification under normal use conditions for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase.
